Hideo Kojima will not direct the Death Stranding movie

The famous video game designer is a bit of a jack-of-all-trades at the moment. On the development front, Hideo Kojima is hard at work on Death Stranding 2 and an Xbox project, and we have to add to this the forthcoming launch of a documentary and the production of a feature film based on Death Stranding.

As it happens, the main man involved has spoken out on the subject of this eagerly-awaited film. While he will be heavily involved in the film, Hideo Kojima will not be directing it. He will, of course, oversee the whole process, giving his opinion and input on the film's content, design, visual style and even screenplay.
