Despite the controversial Halo Infinite, 343 Industries will remain at the helm of the saga

Needless to say, the launch of our beloved Halo Infinite was a painful one. It was a tumultuous period for 343 Industries, which recently lost several of its key members. Studio boss Bonnie Ross left last September and Joseph Staten, who was in charge of creating the latest entry, left Microsoft this year.

These departures, coupled with the lukewarm reception of Halo Infinite, suggested that the future of the saga would be entrusted to another studio. But that's not to be... Matt Booty, head of Xbox Game Studios, has explained that 343 Industries will indeed develop future games in the license. However, other studios will undoubtedly help them in this task.

For example, Booty did not rule out the idea of Activision participating in the development of a future Halo, once the takeover has been confirmed.
