Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag Remake may have been delayed by almost a year

While there were rumors suggesting their imminent release, the remakes of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time have encountered setbacks. The latter has even been canceled altogether.
In the case of the new version of the fourth installment of the Assassin's Creed franchise, it's more of a postponement. In the document announcing its reorganization, Ubisoft mentioned the project without directly naming it.
“At the same time, the group will devote additional development time to seven games in order to ensure that they meet the highest quality standards and optimize long-term value creation. Among these games is an unannounced title, initially planned for fiscal year 2026 and postponed to fiscal year 2027.”
Insider Gaming explains that the remake of Assassin's Creed IV is the only title that meets these criteria. Its initial release was likely scheduled for March 2026. It could now be launched no later than March 2027.
