Ubisoft wants Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six to become annual franchises generating billions
, by Thibaut
The hot news of the moment concerns Ubisoft, of course, which has announced major changes to its structure. From now on, the focus will be on open-world games and GAAS experiences.
It is also in this context that the French publisher will refocus on franchises with strong profitability potential. To achieve this, the group is counting on Vantage Studios, the new entity created in partnership with Tencent.
In a document, Ubisoft states that it will focus on five Creative Houses, each with a specific mission. And it goes without saying that the ambitions for Vantage are very high.
"(Vantage Studios) focused on scaling and extending Ubisoft’s largest and established franchises to turn them into annual billionaire brands."
This obviously includes Assassin's Creed, Far Cry, and Rainbow Six. We can expect to see more games for these three major brands.
