The Lord of the Rings: Gollum becomes teh worst rated game of the year
, by Thibaut
It must be admitted that pessimism was in order regarding the final quality of this new adaptation of The Lord of the Rings. Let's remember that this installment is exclusively focused on the character of Gollum. Here, there are no intense battles, but rather a game centered around stealth, platforming, and puzzle-solving.
Unfortunately, the formula failed to convince the press. As we write these lines, The Lord of the Rings: Gollum has even become the lowest-rated game of 2023. On Metacritic, the PS5 version obtained an average of 38% (based on 21 reviews), while the PC version scored 43% (based on 12 reviews).
Thus, a real disappointment has fallen upon the game developed by Daedalic Entertainment, which is scheduled for release this Thursday, May 25.
