Prince of Persia : The Sands of Time won't appear this year

Announced in September 2020, the highly anticipated remake of the legendary Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has not made any further appearances in nearly three years. And there's a good reason for that, as after Ubisoft Pune's failure, the development was transferred to Ubisoft Montreal.
In a recent interview, Jean-François Naud, the game's producer, and director Michael McIntyre shared some fresh updates on the project. We learn that it is still in the design phase and that the development team has not yet been fully shaped. In short, we simply have to understand that this highly awaited version of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time probably won't be released for several more years.
Furthermore, understandably, the developers do not plan to showcase their game this year. It will be absent from the upcoming Ubisoft Forward event on June 12, 2023.
