Final Fantasy XVI: the PC version is definitely not coming anytime soon

At its announcement, Square Enix had clearly emphasized that Final Fantasy XVI would be released on PC in addition to the anticipated PS5 version in June. However, lately, the Japanese publisher has backtracked by avoiding the subject or stating that such a version is not currently planned.

This position evidently has not changed, as in an interview with Game Informer, producer Naoki Yoshida reiterated that the sixteenth installment is still not formally planned for PC. He also added that even though the PS5 exclusivity is set to expire after six months (on December 22, 2023), Final Fantasy XVI will not be coming to PC once that period has elapsed or in the "near future".
