While there was some pessimism about the commercial success of the PlayStation VR2, Sony finally expressed satisfaction with the performance of its virtual reality headset. The Japanese manufacturer revealed sales figures for the device for the first time.
Despite its high price and limited availability, the PS VR2 managed to sell approximately 600,000 units worldwide in just six weeks. This represents an 8% increase compared to the PlayStation VR released in 2016.
Now, the Japanese company will need to expand the catalog of its accessory for the PS5. And this comes at a good time, as the [PlayStation Showcase](https://news.instant-gaming.com/fr/articles/1452-qu-attendre-du-playstation-showcase-2023] will be the perfect opportunity to announce new virtual reality titles.
