Marathon is still scheduled for release before April 2026

Last June, Bungie decided to delay Marathon, which was originally supposed to come out on September 23, 2025. The game had no new date at the time, but Sony intends to release the PvP game before the fiscal year ends.

Sony CFO Lin Tao said this week that PlayStation plans to launch Marathon before the end of this fiscal year, which ends on March 31, 2026. She added that they will give an specific launch in fall.

"We are now fixing the problems. So we believe this launch will happen. And if this launch is canceled, we need to do the revision of the valuation. However, as of now this is not expected."
