Bungie will soon become part of PlayStation Studios

After being acquired by Sony in January 2022 for $3.6 billion, Bungie remained a separate entity within the company... until now. Given the financial trouble and plenty of controversies of recent years, the American company will have to say goodbye to its semi-independence.
During the presentation of the Japanese group's financial results, Sony's CFO, Lin Tao, announced that the company is fully integrating Bungie into PlayStation Studios. The studio's independence will gradually fade away, and the Japanese giant will take complete control of operations.
By July 2024, 155 Bungie positions had already been transferred to PlayStation.
