Ubisoft has reportedly cancelled Star Wars Outlaws 2

Despite the significant budget invested in such an ambitious project, Star Wars Outlaws failed to win over fans. Ubisoft quickly acknowledged that the game was a commercial failure, with Yves Guillemot pointing to the lack of popularity of the Star Wars IP being the reason for this.

During a podcast with the Insider Gaming team, Tom Henderson revealed that Star Wars Outlaws 2 was in the very early stages of development before being ultimately canceled. Henderson clarified that this second installment was only in pre-production before being abandoned.

As such, Star Wars Outlaws will likely never have a sequel.
