Xbox seems intent on erasing the traces of Contraband

Announced back in June 2021 and developed by Avalanche Studios, Contraband is a cooperative smuggling game set in a fictional world in the 1970s.

We've had no news of this Xbox Game Studios title for four years now. Following layoffs and budget cuts at Microsoft, several projects have been cancelled. And while this has yet to be confirmed, rumors suggest that Contraband may also have been chopped down.

The Xbox YouTube channel has in fact deleted the announcement trailer. Still, we'll have to wait for official communication from Microsoft.
