Guerrilla Games celebrates its 20th anniversary and gives some numbers for its birthday

Although the Dutch studio is best known for the Horizon saga, its epic began in 2004 with the first Killzone for PS2. This FPS, which was not very popular at the time, was followed by a sequel on PlayStation 3 in 2009, then a third opus (3D compatible) in 2011. The last game to date remains Killzone: Shadow Fall, which accompanied the launch of the PS4 in 2013.

Guerrilla Games then moved into a completely different genre with the action RPG Horizon Zero Dawn in 2017. The second opus, Forbidden West, came out in 2022 and it's DLC Burning Shores has just arrived on PS5. It's also worth noting that the company is behind the Decima Engine, which is also used by Kojima Productions in Death Stranding.

At the moment, Guerrilla is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a video. We learn that the beloved Horizon Forbidden West has sold 8.4 million units worldwide. The saga as a whole has reached 32.7 million copies sold.
