Leon Kennedy is back for Resident Evil Requiem

Capcom confirmed the ninth entry in its survival-horror franchise at Summer Game Fest. With Resident Evil Requiem, the company wants to appeal to fans of the saga and newcomers alike.

The trailer features Grace Ashcroft, the daughter of journalist Alyssa Ashcroft who appeared in Resident Evil Outbreak. However, she won't be the only playable character, as insider Dusk Golem reiterates that Leon S. Kennedy will also be on board. Capcom is expected to reveal this information in the coming weeks.

And while the famous town of Raccoon City appears in the trailer, it won't be the main location for Resident Evil Requiem. It will only be a place we visit in the course of the story.

The release date is set for February 27, 2026.
