Physical sales for Resident Evil Requiem on PlayStation otupaces all XBOX units sold combined

A new analysis by Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics highlights gamers’ continued interest in physical games. Released last February, Resident Evil Requiem has performed particularly well on PlayStation in physical format.

According to these estimates, Capcom’s title sold 1.3 million physical copies on PS5, accounting for 15% of total sales and 30.2% of revenue on Sony’s console. Furthermore, these PlayStation physical sales generated 1.8 times more revenue than all copies sold (physical and digital) on Xbox.

As for other major titles such as 007 First Light, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced, and Crimson Desert, physical sales account for less than 30% of total sales for each game.
