Former Battlefront 2 devs would like to do a Battlefront 3

While Star Wars Battlefront 2 is experiencing renewed interest, former developer Mats Helge Holm has stated on Reddit that he and several ex-colleagues would like to work again on Battlefront 3. Holm worked on the original game released in 2017 as well as the Celebration version.

EA ended support for Battlefront 2 in 2020, after a major controversy linked to its microtransaction system, deemed abusive. This system was abandoned after strong criticism, including from Disney.

Since then, the game has been updated with new free heroes, and its community remains active. However, no official announcement of a Battlefront 3 has yet been made.
