The creator of the new Apex Legends character was fired on the day of his presentation

Ahead of its release in a handful of days' time, Season 25 of Apex Legends was shown with a new trailer. In particular, it will introduce a new hero named Sparrow.

This character was created by Heather Woodward over the course of more than a year. While this scriptwriter is proud of her work, she has unfortunately been hit by the recent lay-offs by Electronic Arts.

Woodward underlined the irony of the situation both on LinkedIn and Bluesky, as her departure was announced on the day of Sparrow's presentation.
