Xbox officially raises the prices for its consoles, controllers and games

It's finally happening. French retailer Micromania had begun applying a price increase to both the Xbox Series X and Series S earlier today... And there was a good reason for it!

Microsoft has just confirmed a worldwide price increase starting this May 1st, 2025, starting with the consoles, which, let's remember, are now priced at €599.99 for the Series X and €349.99 for the Series S. The American company has confirmed further price increases in a press release sent to the IGN website. For the moment, the only known prices are in dollars.

In addition, from the end of the year, the price of Xbox games will rise from $69.99 to $79.99. European prices have yet to be announced.

Microsoft says it is "aware that these changes represent a challenge, and they have been decided taking into account market conditions and increasing development costs".
