In Death Stranding 2, you won't have to defeat bosses in order to progress

One thing is clear: throughout his many games, Hideo Kojima's main interest was always telling stories. This will also be the case with Death Stranding 2, which wants to appeal both experienced and new gamers.

So much so that, in fact, the sequel will have a rather intriguing mechanic. In the event of a game over against a boss, we'll be able to select an option that lets us experience the battle without actually playing it. The story will then be told like a graphic novel, with progression resuming just after the battle.

In simple terms, you can avoid boss battles altogether thanks to this, and all without missing out any of the story elements.

Death Stranding 2: On the Beach will be released on PS5 this June 26.
