A PlayStation Showcase, featuring Mortal Kombat 12, may be coming in May

Everyone is eagerly awaiting Sony's annual presentation. Despite the several minor State of Play broadcasts, the Japanese company has so far refrained from showcasing its future hits.

Today, journalist Jeff Grubb announces that a major PlayStation Showcase will take place in May. The event should be completely separate from the Summer Game Fest, which will take place in early June. By connecting the dots, we can potentially guess the identity of a game that could be unveiled during this Showcase.

Thus, Mortal Kombat 12 is poised to be featured on Sony's program. Journalist Jez Corden stated last week that the fighting game is expected to be announced in May. PlayStation may even have secured the exclusive marketing campaign for this twelfth installment.
