The XDefiant beta may be extended due to numerous technical issues

Ubisoft's free-to-play arena shooter is currently in playable beta phase on PC (via Ubisoft Connect), PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. And as with any beta, technical issues are bound to arise. Indeed, many users have complained about server stability. Players have been disconnected mid-game, and finding a match can sometimes take several minutes.

In an effort to make amends, the French publisher may choose to extend the duration of the beta, which is set to end on April 23. This possibility was mentioned by Ubisoft executive producer Mark Rubin via Twitter.

"Oh, and if all goes well and the servers finally become stable, I think we could consider extending the beta, but I have to see what that would mean for the team," said Rubin on the social network.
