Sony's fifth home console is a worldwide hit! In December of last year, around 32 million PS5s had already been sold worldwide, an impressive figure despite being impacted by component shortages in its first two years of existence. This dark period is expected to be quickly erased, according to new results released by GamesIndustry.biz.
In Europe, during March 2023, PS5 sales increased by 500% compared to the same month last year. For the entire first quarter of 2023, the increase is 369% year-on-year. This dynamic is in contrast to that of the Switch, which has decreased by 18%. The Xbox Series X|S also saw a decline of 10% in European sales.
