The PS4 and Xbox One versions of The First Descendant will stop being supported from June 19

Launched in June 2024 on consoles and PC, The First Descendant is a third-person loot shooter developed by Nexon. Although it enjoyed brief success at launch, the free-to-play game subsequently fell somewhat into oblivion.

For over a week now, The First Descendant has been attracting fewer than 10,000 simultaneous daily users on Steam. This disenchantment has prompted the studio to take the first step.

The PS4 and Xbox One versions will no longer be supported by Nexon as of June 19. The South Korean firm says it has taken this decision to improve player satisfaction. The development team considered it too difficult to support a large number of versions, preferring to focus on modern machines.

Thanks to cross-save, save data can be transferred to other platforms.
