The Final Fantasy IX and Tactics remakes have been in the works for years and are still in development

While we've had rumors about them for several years now, the Final Fantasy IX and Final Fantasy Tactics remakes are alive and well.

At least, that's what renowned insider NateTheHate claims on his social media. This is what he answered to an user on X:

"Both remain in active development. FFIXR isn't expected to see release in 2025. Maybe we'll see it launch in 2026."

Of course, pending an official announcement, it's best to take all this with a grain of salt.
