Jason Schreier has took it to Bluesky to deny that devs learnt of the cancellation of their projects at the same time as everyone else. It seems this was known to certain people in the company before it was disclosed with the article.

In a message published on X.com, Jeff Grubb has apologized and admitted his error.

In addition to the Switch 2, last week's big news was clearly the cancellation of yet another two PlayStation GAAS, this time in development at Bluepoint Games and Bend Studio.

According to journalist Jeff Grubb, both companies were stunned to learn the news at the same time as we did. Indeed, it was via the press that they learnt about the projects being cancelled.

Those two studios will now have to propose another game to Sony and try to survive what will sure be a very difficult time. That said, the Japanese company has stated that the studios won't be closing.
