Sony reveals new info about its VR headset Xyn at CES 2025

First announced at CES 2024, Sony's Xyn VR headset is back this year with new info. It features 4K OLED screens, a video passthrough function, and is compatible with third-party design, modeling and production software.
Sony has also announced Xyn Motion Studio, a Windows app capable of supporting up to 12 Mocopi sensors. This wireless motion tracking system is mostly used by V-Tubers to control their virtual avatars.
Last but not least, the company has showed off a prototype spatial capture tool designed to transform images of real objets or spaces into photorealistic 3D assets, all thanks to an in-house algorithm. Still, Sony has yet to disclose any details on the price or availability of the Xyn VR headset.
