Elden Ring won't feature the message system of the main game

In an interview with IGN's Japanese company, Elden Ring Nightreign director Junya Ishizaki explained that the game won't feature an iconic feature of FromSoftware's games.
Unlike the Japanese studio's latest Souls-like games, players won't be able to leave messages in the environment. These are usually used to signal the presence of an enemy, a treasure or a trap, as well as to make some questionable jokes too.
Ishizaki gave the logical reason behind this.
"You can still see other players' ghosts, but the ability to leave messages has been removed. The reason we removed the message function is that in this game, where each session lasts around 40 minutes, there's no time to write your own message, nor to read messages written by others."
In Elden Ring Nightreign, three players will have to team up to face monsters from FromSoftware's games. That said, you will get to play solo too (but not in pairs).
