The next Xbox controller could feature "high-definition" haptic motors

Known under the codename "Sebile", the future Xbox controller is expected to release with the next generation of consoles. What's more, Microsoft is working to include several new features in it.

Indeed, a patent spotted by Tech4gamers reveals a little more on the controller. In particular, it will feature new haptic motors that could be adjusted at will. Those will offer two types of vibration to allow for a better feedback and enhance the gaming experience and immersion.

The haptic component is described as "less expensive, less heavy, less bulky and less power-hungry", and all while delivering enhanced performance. These haptic motors will be "high-definition" and placed throughout the controller.

Finally, Sebile will feature something out of the Stadia controller: it will use Wi-Fi to connect directly to cloud games, and then you'll be able to use it on any device without traditional Bluetooth.
