The Switch 2 will be capable of running AAA games
, by Thibaut
With the Switch 2 getting revealed early next year, we are getting more and more rumors about its technical specifications.
On the ResetEra forum, a random user criticised the console, saying it surely won't be up to scratch technically, and that studios won't get their AAA games to run on it because its lack of power.
This was dismissed by a dev who wishes to remain anonymous. According to him, the Switch 2 will be very capable, though without necessarily reaching the performance of the PS5 and Xbox Series.
"Both Nintendo and third parties see Switch 2 AAA titles as a big potential growth driver. The hardware is very capable."
"I’m not at all saying it’ll get everything always, but I think a lot of people will be pleasantly surprised."
