Back in September 2023, a hypothetical The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion remake was already making the rounds following a leak of some documents from the MIcrosoft-FTC trial.
This week, the rumor came back in full force with an insider mentioning a 2025 release date. This has since been corroborated by insiders Klobrille and NateDrake on Resetera, and they've speculated that the game could be announced as early as January, possibly at an Xbox Direct.
According to them, this remake of Oblivion would be pretty similar to Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary, which means that the gameplay would remain largely the same, albeit with a few improvements. Nevertheless, the graphics would be greatly enhanced thanks to Unreal Engine 5.
