Blue Protocol is closing in January, but here's an alternative to it

Bandai Namco is closing Blue Protocol on January 18. This was an anime-style MMO which didn't do too hot.

That said, the (few) fans of the game can rest assured that the game will live with another title called Star Resonance by Shanghai Bokura Technology, a Tencent subsidiary. Bandai Namco has ceded the rights to the Blue Protocol IP to the Chinese company, and it will work under this new name.

The press release states that Star Resonance is based on a new take of the world of Blue Protocol, and there's a trailer already.
