ININ Games has acquired the publishing to Shenmue 3
, by Thibaut
Back when it released in November 2019, Shenmue 3 was published by Deep Silver. Sadly, the third entry in the franchise was far from the commercial and critical success we all had hoped for, so we don't know if there will ever be a fourth game.
However, there's one company still betting on the franchise by Yu Suzuki. It's the Japanese company ININ games, and it has just acquired the the publishing rights to Shenmue 3. In a press release, the company says it is looking forward "to accompanying Shenmue 3 into its next phase" and that this collaboration marks "a new beginning" for the game.
It's hard to know what ININ Games has planned for the game at present.
