Leaker Zhanghonghao, known for his reliable info on the Chiphell forums, has recently shared new details about AMD's upcoming Radeon RX 9000 UDNA GPUs.
According to him, these graphic cards will enter mass production as early as the second quarter of 2026, marking the end of the RDNA and CDNA architectures in favor of the UDNA, a unified architecture.
Here are the key points of his information:
There will be no RDNA5. After RDNA4, AMD will go straight to UDNA.
-
MI400 and RX9000 GPUs will go for the UDNA architecture, with an ALU design inspired by GCN.
-
The PlayStation 6 will use UDNA, although Sony has yet to choose between Zen 4 or Zen 5 architectures for its CPU. And that's not all: a Sony handheld console would also be based on AMD hardware.
-
Microsoft is reportedly hesitating between Qualcomm and AMD for its handheld console.
As always, we recommend you take this information with a grain of salt.
