Control 2 will be an action-RPG

This is not the first time that a Remedy license has changed genres from one entry to another. After all, Alan Wake changed from third-person shooter to survival horror with the sequel.

This is a studio tradition that will continue with Control. Remedy has annoucned at Capital Markets that, while the first entry was a classic TPS with powers, Control 2 will go for some action-RPG elements.

Also, Control will get a new patch in 2025 that will give free access to previously available content. Last but not least, Control Ultimate Edition is coming to Mac on February 12.
