A Japanese company called Wellsen XR Research has reportedly revealed that Samsung may launch its AR glasses as early as the third quarter of 2025.
And this is not the only detail it has revealed: it may feature a Snapdragon AR1 chipset by Qualcomm and weight just 50 grams.
What's more, it would come with a 155 mAh battery, and most of the calculations needed would be done by the device connected to it, an smartphone for example.
As for the cameras, Samsung is said to have gone for a 12 MP Sony IMX681 sensor. The company is aiming for an initial run of 500,000 units, but there's no price estimate or even an official name for the product as of now.
