Nintendo reduces Switch sales predictions after a 31% drop compared to the previous year

In its latest financial report, the company said it lowered its hardware sales predictions to 12.5 million units, previously 13.5 million, due to a 31% drop in sales compared to last year.
Nintendo also reduced its operating profit forecast by 10%, setting it at 360 billion yen ($2.4 billion). The company attributes this decline to a strong first half of the previous year, marked by the success of the movie "Super Mario Bros." and the release of "The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom."
Nintendo has yet to mention its next console in its latest financial report, but it is expected to arrive before the end of March 2025.
