Overwatch 2 6v6 mode will be tested in Season 14
, by Thibaut
Recently, Blizzard mentioned its intention to bring back the 6v6 mode to Overwatch 2. Today, we know a little more about this test, which will take place very soon.
Indeed, the American company will be allowing players to compete in 6v6 through two distinct modes as of Season 14. The first test will take place one week after the start of the season. Each team must have at least one character in each role (and no more than three in any one role). The aim is to give players the chance to create new combinations.
The second test will take place around mid-season and will opt for the classic 2-2-2 composition. It will also include gameplay elements such as reduced control effects and reworked characters. It should be noted that these 6v6 trials will not replace the usual modes and will opt for a special format of unranked games. Patches and balancing adjustments will be made along the way to polish the game.
