NCSOFT (Throne and Liberty) to restructure and lay off part of its staff

Despite Throne and Liberty being quite popular, NCSOFT has decided to go on a restructuring plan, a decision that will no doubt have some serious consequences for its employees.

In the second quarter of 2024, the company's operating profit fell by 75% year-on-year. Between the first and second quarters of 2024, the company recorded a further decline of 66%.

While the studio claims to have studied all possible alternatives, it has finally decided to lay off part of its staff to turn around its finances. All this despite the fact that Throne and Liberty is currenty in the top 5 of the most-played games on Steam.
