Valve won't be releasing a new Steam Deck every year

Valve has spoken out to explain its vision for the future of the Steam Deck, its handheld console.
The company has stated that it won't release a new Steam Deck model every year, and the reason is celar if we are to believe the words of two of its designers.
"It is important to us, and we've tried to be really clear, we are not doing the yearly cadence. We're not going to do a bump every year. There's no reason to do that. And, honestly, from our perspective, that's kind of not really fair to your customers to come out with something so soon that's only incrementally better."
They go further, explaining that they want to wait for a real generational leap in computing power, without sacrificing battery life. Of course, they admit that they want more power, but from their point of view, the necessary technology doesn't yet exist.
