Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been banned in Kuwait and pre-orders have been cancelled

With just a week to go before launch, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been banned in Kuwait. Activision has confirmed so in a press release sent to Eurogamer.

The publisher states that the game has "not been approved for release" in the country. As a result, all pre-orders so far have been cancelled and will be refunded by local retailers. However, Activision still hopes to see the ban getting lifted in the near future.

Whilethe reason behind this hasn't been divulged yet, we can assume that it's the Gulf War theme the game revolves that is to blame. After all, in the early '90s, Iraq invaded Kuwait and this led to the outbreak of the war.
