Call of Duty now requires your birth date to play
, by Quentin
Those wishing to play Call of Duty must now enter their date of birth on their Activision account before they can access the game. This measure, spotted by Charlie Intel, is intended to reinforce compliance with the community's code of conduct.
According to Activision, this update is part of its efforts to offer a positive online experience. Underage players will be required to obtain parental consent, failing which their account may be deleted.
No identity verification is required at present, but this possibility is not excluded in the future.
