XDefiant won't disappear after Season 4

Recently, an insider stated that he'd heard that XDefinat was coming to a close after Season 4 if the game didn't gather more users. it's true that Ubisoft had spoken of being disappointed with the performance of the multiplayer shooter.

However, Mark Rubin, the title's executive producer, has come out to deny the information with a message posted on X. He states that there are “NO plans to shut down after season 4” and points out that he took part in a meeting last week to discuss the second year of XDefiant's life.

Interestingly, Rubin acknowledges the drop in traffic and explains it by the lack of marketing around the game. Ubisoft obviously wanted to let the developers improve the experience before resuming a more aggressive marketing campaign.
