Dragon Age: The Veilguard won't have an arachnophobic filter... because there are no spiders in the game!

Most games set in a fantasy univese contain a varying degree of spiders, which doesn't cater to any arachnophobic gamers. Hogwarts Legacy was one of the biggest offenders here.

BioWare is no stranger to this with Dragon Age, and the next entry won't be an exception. Many fans cried out in desmay on learning that there was no filter for arachnophobes in the game's accesibility settings.

However, the studio's community manager has stated on Reddit that Dragon Age: The Veilguard won't have any arachnid enemies to fight.

The launch is still scheduled for October 31, 2024.
