Discord has been blocked in Russia and Turkey

The instant messaging service mainly dedicated to gamers is no longer available in Russia and Turkey. Discord was investigating outages in these two countries before learning that its application has ended up being banned.
In a press release, the Turkish authorities cited the fact that the platform was allegedly harboring "crimes of sexual abuse of minors and obscenity". It is also stated that Discord's terms of use would prevent Turkish security agents from examining shared content.
For its part, Russia simply accuses the messaging service of "violating Russian law" and had already requested the removal of elements deemed "illegal". Discord refused to do so, and the application was blocked in turn.
