Saudi Arabia has finally reduced its stake in Nintendo

Earlier this week, a report pointed to Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) increasing its stake in Nintendo. But it seems there was an error in the press release.

CNBC reported that Saudi Arabia's Savvy Games Group has reduced its stake in Nintendo from 8.58% to 7.54%. However, it still is one of the Japanese company's main shareholders.

The initial statement has now been corrected, as the PIF simply said it was interested in Japanese video game companies in general, and not Nintendo specifically.
