The next game from Larian Studios (Baldur's Gate 3) won't release until 2028 or 2029

Needless to say, making a video game takes a long, long time! After the worldwide success of Baldur's Gate 3, Larian Studios is working on an all-new title.

In an interview with IGN, Swen Vincke, the studio's CEO, stated that his next creation will see the light of day around 2028-2029. However, he was quick to put put some nuance on the matter.

"I don’t know, we’ll release it when it’s ready. They’re big games and it takes time, so don’t hold us to a date."
