Intel has reportedly cancelled plans for an Arrow Lake-S refresh next year
, by Quentin
Here comes a rumor from Chiphell that has been causing quite a stir over the past few hours. According to an user, Intel won't be releasing a Refresh version of Arrow Lake-S, cancelling it in favor of Nova Lake.
This new version of Arrow Lake-S was supposed to focus on improvements to the NPU (Neural Processing Unit), bringing better performance with it. But it seems plans have changed, and Intel is now focusing on the release of Nova Lake, scheduled for 2026, with the new Panther Cove and Artic Wolf cores.
That said, it should be noted that this user is only talking about Arrow Lake-S, and not the H or HX variants. It's still possible that these will get Refresh versions for laptops.
