Intel is said to be working on the Cobra Core architecture, a successor to Royal Core
, by Quentin
The code name for Intel's next CPU core seems to have found its way to the Internet thanks to the project description by one of the company's employees.
The company is said to be working on Cobra Core, an x86-based architecture. Just like another Intel architecture, the Royal Core, this one should focus on energy efficiency while still offering great performance.
However, it's important to note that Cobra Core is still ways off from release, and it's not certain whether it will see the light of the day.
