Unity gives up on its new pricing policy

Back on January 1st, Unity started with a new pricing policy called the Runtime Fee. This saw devs charged for each time their game was installed thanks to the Unity engine. Of course, this didn't sit well with many.

The American company decided then to revise its plans, and now CEO Matt Bromberg has announced it's been dropped it altogether immediately.

Alas, it's not all good news, as both the “Unity Pro” and “Unity Enterprise” subscriptions will see their respective prices rise. The former will rise by 8%, the latter by 25%. These changes will take effect on January 1, 2025.
