Astro Bot is the best-rated game of the year

There's only a thin line from failure to success. After announcing the hasty closure of Concord's servers, PlayStation is now celebrating Astro Bot's success.

Team Asobi's game has achieved a Metacritic average of 94%, with around a hundred reviews on its belt. This makes it the highest-scoring standalone game of 2024, only surpassed by the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree and its whooping 95%.

Just behind Astro Bot, we got Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with 92%, Animal Well at 91% and Balatro at 90%.
